Aw Bridal Event Dresses
I am so excited for this post you guys! Not only is it a sponsored post, which I am finally getting some traction with, but it’s also out of the realm of my normal style posts. I love to dress up and get all dolled up, but in my current life and with the state of the world, I don’t have many events to get dressed up for. These gowns allowed me to play princess and feel fancy for a couple of days while shooting. Aw Bridal was kind enough to send me 4 of their beautiful gowns to shoot and style as I wanted! Aw Bridal specializes in wedding attire but also has clothing for all the various events you may find yourself in need of beautiful garb for. And as we get closer to summer, we are about to kick it into high gear for all sorts of different events.
Aw Bridal has great quality, with a price that won’t startle your wallet. They have so many options that range from fun and funky velvet to more classic chiffon styles like I’m gonna show you today! I will link everything down below, and can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
The first dress we have here is a really gorgeous aqua! It has a fairly standard sweetheart neckline with some nice detailing on the bodice. I also loved the straps on this one; it’s a fun play on general straps and gives it a little Greek flare. The back of the dress also dips low enough to create a nice shape without being super low, and complimented my mermaid scales nicely, if I do say so myself. These gowns also come with a very sturdy built-in bra/corset that would work for even bigger busted women.
This was one of my favorite dresses simply for the neckline. It is never one I would have thought to get for myself, but since they sent me the dresses they wanted me to model, I got the opportunity to give it a spin! It also negates the need for any necklace or anything and really is a whole statement all on its own.
As far as sizing goes, I would say they run pretty true to dress size, but I did find that they were a little large in the bust for me. I am very small chested, but typically if I get a size 2 dress it fits well everywhere, but not with these ones. Now, it wasn’t bad enough to have them sent back and if I got a smaller size it wouldn’t have fit my hips. But a little boob tape went a long way to keep it where I needed it when I was shooting them! Just something to be aware of when purchasing!
This was the most simple of the dresses I received! Simple high neckline, a slight dip in the back, and some beautiful detailing on the bodice and waistband. All of the dresses shown here have a lining built-in so that there is no worry for any undergarments to show and they add an extra layer of warmth if you also live in a part of the country where Spring means cold weather! These gowns also come in many different colors so if you see styles you like, but not colors, then head over to their site to see all the other colors offered!
While the color of this last dress wasn’t my favorite, I really do love this neckline. Like the dark plum dress above, I had never considered the high neckline like this! But I do think it is quite flattering and would work on bigger bust sizes who maybe wanted to keep things a little more contained. Just like these styles come in different colors, there are a million styles to choose from on the site. No shortage of styles and colors for every taste!
